What is available today?
Haaalo is in development for Apple Silicon Macs, with an 8 GB cloud testing limit. Public registration and paid plans are not available yet.
Where will files be stored?
Haaalo’s files will be stored on Backblaze B2. We’re preparing the integration as part of the service’s development.
How much space does my Mac need?
Downloaded data stays in a cache with a size limit. Offline copies and edits waiting to upload need extra space. A file’s size in Finder can be larger than the space it uses on your Mac.
Can I share a file or folder?
Sharing supports view or edit access, expiry and revocation. Access can be open to anyone with the link or limited to approved recipients. Editing in a browser means downloading the file and uploading a new version. Folder sharing and passkey access for approved recipients are still being tested.
How is access protected?
The server checks your account or sharing permissions before sending a file. Approved recipients sign in with a passkey and a code confirmed by the owner; they choose their own display name. Private storage does not provide end-to-end or zero-knowledge encryption.
How can I try the Mac app?
Haaalo is proprietary software in development for Mac. The public installer and subscriptions are not available yet. The download will appear here when the Mac app is ready.
Can I upload files on this page?
This page shows how Haaalo works. It does not connect to a cloud account or upload files.
